We started Light Me Up to bridge the current gap in care and service quality, wanting to provide an incredible experience for our participants. We have noticed a “once size fits all” approach which we know compromises outcomes for the client and it is something we have set out to change.

Through our tertiary education and experience, we take pride in our client-centred approach which is bespoke to each client and their individual needs.

We have ample therapeutic experience, working with individuals with psycho-social disabilities, ASD, intellectual disabilities, and other psychological impairments. We also have experience working with families, schools and other education institutes, supported accommodation services, and with other allied health and support staff.

Positive Behaviour Support

Positive Behaviour Support ( PBS ) is an evidence-based therapy with a primary goal of increasing a person’s quality of life and decreasing behaviours of concern. Our behaviour support practitioners ( BSP ) write behaviour support plans which are shared to the clients supports to provide them with strategies to minimise behaviours of concern.

Support Coordination

Support coordination helps you to make the best use of your supports. Support coordination is a capacity building support which helps participants to understand and use their NDIS plan to pursue their goals. It also connects them with NDIS providers, community, mainstream and other government services.

Psychology + Counselling

A psychology session is a therapeutic session between a client and mental health professional. The session provides a safe and confidential space for the client to discuss their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and work towards improving their mental health and well-being.
