Jim Pickersgill & Associates NDIS Plan ManagerPlan Management is a disability service funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The function of Plan Management is to assist and support NDIS participants with their NDIS plan funding.

Plan Management is one of three ways a participants plan can be managed. They can be (1) Agency Managed, (2) Self Managed or (3) Plan Managed (JPA).

When participants choose to use a Plan Management provider such as JPA, they will assist a participant in managing their NDIS plan funds. Plan Management providers can purchase supports on behalf of participants from either registered or unregistered providers. A Plan Manager will receive funds from the NDIA and disburse funds on behalf of a participant to providers other services needed.

Some of the ways Plan Management can support NDIS participants are:

* managing and monitoring a participants budget

* managing a participant's claims and disbursing funds to providers for services delivered

* provide regular statements to a participant to show the financial status of their plan including prompt notification of over or under utilisation

* offering choice and control to a participant over plan implementation and utilisation through plan financial assistance

* participants can also receive advice from Plan Management providers about how to best utilise their NDIS funding with can assist in building financial capacity and knowledge

Introducing Murphy House

Building on the success of our disability services across Victoria, SASS has opened a 22-bed accommodation facility in Bendigo.

Murphy House located at 5-7 Murphy Street, Bendigo provides short and medium term respite for participants requiring 24/7 care utilising funding from their NDIS plans. Murphy House is a registered Supported Residential Service (SRS) with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and we provide longer-term SRS options for participants who need a safe and secure place without intensive supports.

Our NDIS respite rooms and long-term SRS rooms are open and we are taking heaps of bookings. Get in quick!
