Dream to Create provides Creative Person Centred Day Program's in South East SADream to Create provides a Creative Person Centred Program (day options program) for people with disabilities. The program is an Art and Craft Program which makes learning, painting, drawing, photography, sculpting and creating fun. The program is designed to help people with disabilities develop creative thought, inspire imagination, encourage self expression and foster artistic potential. Our participants discover the world of art through a variety of themes and mediums.
We provide opportunities for the increased development of fine and gross motor skills, communication, social skills and skills of independence. Individual goals, developmental needs and interests are taken into consideration when planning sessions so that everyone gets the maximum benefit from the program. Every participant is encouraged to develop skills of independence by being involved in the art based activities as much as possible and by attending to their own self care as much as possible. They will have opportunities to practice skills and to socialise with their peers.
Participant health and well-being is also an important factor in the support we provide. We have regular breaks in the day that encompass exercise and fun physical activities. As wonderful as Arts and Crafts are we also incorporate community activities with excursions into the community. These may be art related such as visits to the art gallery but can also be leisure activities such as bowling, the movies, concerts and lunch out and more.
Participants pay nothing out of their pocket to attend Dream to Create. We don't ask for anything toward activities and outings (meals out where participants pay for their own meals, or extras such as popcorn or drinks at the movies). All entry fees (except high cost entry fees over $20/person where a contribution may be requested), and costs of materials are met by Dream to Create.
We endeavour to transport those participants, to and from Dream to Create to home, who can not provide their own means of transport. This is based on availability of seating in vehicles and distance. The cost of the transport is generally from the participants NDIS plan and is equally divided by the number of participants transported.
Participants have a three week trial period on commencing the program. This allows the participant to experience the program and then make a decision on whether it fits their likes and interests. It also allows for Dream To Create to determine if the support needs can be provided adequately for each individual.

We provide nature-based respite camps for young NDIS participants. We offer Respite Camps for young NDIS Participants.
A core part of what we do is facilitating friendships and strengthening bonds between participants and our activities are specifically designed to facilitate new connections, improving social skills, confidence and independence of participants. This gives our young people a chance to develop resilience and contribute to overcoming anxiety or other challengers. Ultimately, this supports young people to reach their full potential and grow into a happier person and be better equipped to face life’s inevitable future challenges.
What Sets Us Apart?
Fun – we provide experiences that are hands-on, engaging for youth and are generally nature-based. We specifically do this ins a group environment so that our youth have the opportunity to grow with others, develop social skills, independence, confidence and resilience as well as experiencing something new and possibly falling in love with a new nature-based activity! The vast majority of our campers and repeat campers and that is a testimony to how much fun the kids have, and the truly lifelong friendships that our camps forge!
Safe – with almost 10 years of experience facilitating nature-based programs for youth, our safety processes are second to none. Not only do we have a minimum 1:2 support staff to participant ratio, but we also have an additional ‘Program Coordinator’ who is a spare adult person, and we have a camp chef. Our accommodations are always exclusively for our usage only (meaning no public stay on site with us) and we also have 24-7 staff supervision > yes this means we even have staff on night duty. Our risk management process and contingency planning is high level, for all activities and the tour in general. We even have staff with specialty training for certain medical considerations if required.
Easy to Organise – Our camp sign-up and registration process has been designed specifically for busy parents/guardians and support workers. We are ultimately here to provide guardians a break, and therefore the last thing we want to do is create more paperwork for you. We have tried to make our sign up process as easy as possible and always welcome feedback to help improve it too!
Note: 83.33% of our camp programs sell out before the ‘registration cut off date’, so make sure to book in advance if there is a specific camp you wish to go on.
