About MADEC

We have purpose-built houses that allow us to provide 24/7 support to individuals with low, standard or complex needs.MADEC provides a variety of disability supports funded by the NDIS.



These supports include:

Supported Independent Living Accommodation Services Community Participation Support Coordination Plan Management Services



SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is when NDIS participants receive support, usually 24/7, to help each person develop skills so that they can live as independently as possible.

This can sometimes be a group of people sharing a home together, or one person receiving support in their own home.



Within the SIL arrangement, your support team will assist you to learn the following skills:

Personal Care Cooking Household Tasks Budgeting Shopping Catching Public Transport Accessing Social Activities Building other Life Skills



To assist you in arranging a SIL, we can provide you with the needed support to:

Secure suitable accommodation – MADEC can provide transitional housing at affordable rates. Find compatible housemates – MADEC can arrange meet and greets, as well as trial weekend stays to ensure that your new housemates suit you. Plan the transition to SIL – for some individuals it may be a 12-month pathway, so start the conversation today.



Supported Independent Living is an exciting arrangement that will benefit you. Become independent, make new friends, have choice and control, feel safe and secure, enjoy freedom and exciting opportunities and be confident that you have the support you need, when you need it, by starting the conversation with MADEC and beginning the transition to your new SIL.





ACCOMMODATION SERVICES

MADEC provides Short-Term (STA) and Medium-Term (MTA) Accommodation Services.



We have purpose-built houses that allow us to provide 24/7 support to individuals with low, standard or complex needs.



Our aim is to provide high quality supports and ensure that participants feel comfortable during their stay. This important service also provides respite for family and carers.



Accommodation Services with MADEC can be a short as 1 day or as long as 90 days.





SUPPORT WITH COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

At MADEC we believe that it is important for everyone to contribute to the local community.

We provide 1:1 support to access community activities and identify activities of interest.



During a planning meeting, we will discuss your needs and match you with your ‘ideal’ support worker.



Activities of interest may include:

Exercise Learning a new skill or craft Meeting and making new friends Attending entertainment events Joining clubs or societies



We support you to do build your best life!





SUPPORT COORDINATION

Our Support Coordinators are experts at helping you understand your plan, access your funding and find services that best meet your individual needs.



Our experienced Support Coordinators will support you to:

Understand your NDIS plan and goals Understand what supports and services you are funded for Provide information about supports and services available Negotiate services within your budget period Empower you to access supports identified in your plan Link you in with local community Facilitate information sharing between providers Responding to crisis or significant change of circumstances that may require a plan review Developing your informal or community connections to enhance your support network
