About Speech & Swallow Pathology Group

We provide Speech Pathology services to empower NDIS participants with a strong passion to support people to thrive in both their social communication and mealtime experiences. Providing home based services to most of Sydney region and Telehealth.Therapy in the comfort of your Home.

Amelia's mission is to help people to find their voice, communicate with confidence and improve their mealtime experience. She loves taking the time to understand and learn about someone's unique qualities and values to tailor therapy to best meet their communication and swallowing needs.

Providing support for:

Word Finding Difficulties Unclear Speech Communication Partner Training Swallowing, Eating & Chewing Difficulties (including supporting with Mealtime Management Plans) Communication Assistive Technology (AAC) Social & Conversational Skills

COMMUNICATION

Detailed assessments, including goal setting Therapeutic sessions to work on individual strategies & exercises to highlight clients' strengths and remove any barriers. Focus on helping to make the world around participant's accessible so they can communicate with confidence. Assess, trial and provide support in using Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC) including picture aids, support with voice banking, high-technology devices. Areas include: speech intelligibility, language, social skills, non-verbal communication, voice.

SWALLOWING

Offering swallowing assessments and personalised management plans for a range of issues, including:​

Difficulty chewing Persistent drooling of saliva Coughing or throat-clearing during meals Avoiding certain foods or fluids Pain while swallowing Sensation of food/drinks stuck in the throat Unexplained weight loss or recurrent chest infections. See more...
