About Fabic Behaviour Specialist

FABIC’s Counsellors are part of our Behaviour Support Practitioner Team and help people to understand and change their unwanted behaviours by supporting them to develop the skills they need to feel confident to respond to life. Fabic’s speech pathology service combines traditional tools for understanding and addressing communication difficulties with Tanya Curtis’s Body Life Skills program. FABIC Occupational Therapy sessions are fun and engaging; they support both children and adults of all ages to function more independently each day and develop a living quality that allows them to enjoy life and live their full potential. Whether you are experiencing extreme non-preferred or ‘just’ mild unwanted behaviours, we offer specialised clinical services for all who aim to identify the true root cause of why you or another are experiencing the behaviour in the first place. Our psychology services are based on the latest research evidence for a range of psychological interventions in the treatment of behavioural concerns and mental health dysfunction and disorders. The Behaviour Specialist team at FABIC offer an array of clinical services aimed at supporting people to live and reach their full potential. All services bring focus to the Body Life Skills program, based on Functional Behaviour Assessment. At FABIC we know that behaviour change cannot be about management and relief-based strategies, rather about teaching the skills to respond to life so that LASTING BEHAVIOUR CHANGE is the focus. FABIC offers services in several locations and brings a multidisciplinary approach to the areas of:

Changing behaviour Developing speech and effective communication Increasing life skills Increasing independence, capacity and quality of life See more...
