About Australian Disability

Australian Disability exists to create a more equitable Australian society for pAustralian Disability is a charitable organisation dedicated to fairness, dignity and equality for people living with disabilities.

We were founded in 2012 based on the principle that discrimination and stigma but also the culture towards disability have to change and be reshaped and owned by people living with the daily effects, positive and negative, of disability.

It is only through an authentic conversation about disability affairs, only then is the dialogue created and the catalyst for change ignited and given an avenue to ignite social advancement.

Our core values

Fairness which involves creating a society based on the equity of opportunity for all people with disabilities, carers, family and friends.

Equality for all people with disabilities, carers, family and friends by working at a societal, community and governmental level to create systemic and meaningful change to achieve equality in all aspects of their lives by advocating for proactive and long-term sustainable changes, by creating a more accessible and inclusive society for all who live in Australia while also acknowledging the unique challenges presented by Indigenous Australians, Culturally and Linguistically backgrounds.

Dignity for All enshrined through all services and activities we undertake as an organisation respects the inherent human rights and treats all people with the same tolerance and respect that anyone would expect if the disability was not a factor in their life

Accountability and Transparency ensured through all services and activities we undertake as an organisation respects the inherent human rights and dignity for all people with disabilities, carers, family and friends.
