In the NDIS Pricing Arrangements (formerly the NDIS Price List or Support Catalogue), the Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) is an additional loading available to support providers, primarily for personal care and community access services. It assists NDIS providers with the costs involved in transitioning to the NDIS and replaces the Temporary Support for Overheads (TPO) Payment.
The TTP includes a price loading that reduces by 1.5% each year. In the NDIS support catalogue, each relevant support item has a matching TTP item listed with a higher price limit to account for this transitional cost. Here’s how it works:
To qualify for TTP pricing, providers need to fulfill the following conditions:
There is no specific registration process for TTP. Instead, providers indicate their compliance by claiming TTP item numbers in their invoices. This is done through the NDIS payment system, provided they meet the necessary TTP requirements.
The TTP took effect on 1st July 2019. Providers had until 31st December 2019 to demonstrate initial compliance, and since then, they must meet TTP standards at the start of each financial year.
Before providers can claim TTP rates, they must ensure that the participant agrees to pay the TTP-adjusted prices. This discussion and agreement should be documented in the participant’s service agreement.
More information about TTP and its implementation can be found in the The Latest NDIS Price Guide and Support Catalogue for 2024-25. This guide details the current TTP pricing adjustments and compliance requirements.
Understanding TTP requirements helps both providers and participants navigate costs effectively while ensuring a smooth transition under the NDIS framework.
